Fiberizer / Spinner
The fiberizer, also known as centrifuge or spinner is one of the most important machines in the production of stone wool. We manufacture highly efficient 4-roller centrifuges. Typically, we provide each production line with 2 centrifuges that easily swap positions by the use of a rail track and a turntable.
The molten mixture in the cupola, flowing at a temperature of ~ 1350 ℃, is directed at a precisely calculated angle to roll #1 of the centrifuge. Then it recoils successively through all other rollers until it passes through the last roll. Recoiling through the rollers forms fibers, and the last roll is used for both formation of the fibers and separation of the particles which cannot form fibers.
Each roller is controlled by an inverter. Our centrifuges are equipped with a system for oil lubrication, cooling and binder spraying. The bearings we use are imported from Germany and Switzerland. The roll heads are made of 316L stainless steel.
