Curing Oven
The curing oven is one of the main machines involved in the production of stone wool. This is the place where the stone wool has been dried and it yields its final thickness. Here, the binder added during the fiberizing process connects with the stone wool under the influence of the ~300 ℃ high temperature. 4 burners keep the temperature constant in the 4 sections of the furnace, 2 of them dry the stone wool from below and the other 2 from above.
Thanks to the absorption of the residual thermal energy from the cupola, with the help of the low temperature heat exchanger, we manage to transport some of this energy to the curing oven, delivering an extraordinary high energy efficiency, causing only 1 or 2 of the 4 burners to operate simultaneously. According to our data, this saves up to 1500 cubic meters of natural gas per 24 hours to our customers.
We produce curing ovens up to 34.6 m in length.
